First global phylogenies of the “neglected arachnid cousins”

Amblypygi (whip spiders) and Solifugae (camel spiders) [both are not spiders, really!] are the last remaining groups in Chelicerata with foundational hypothesis about their evolutionary relationships. We developed a global collaboration to gather specimens from the wild and reconstruct the first global phylogeny of these two groups. Finally, we revisit these “neglected cousins” of arachnids and develop a phylogenetic framework to pose developmental and comparative questions.

OUT SOON, stay tuned!!
